We recently completed a 3 1/2 month stay in this hip Harlem apartment and can’t say enough good things about it. The immaculate one-bedroom condo unit is very well-maintained, spacious and comfortable, with a bright, sunny living room, large bedroom, a well-stocked galley kitchen and nice bathroom. The building is handicap accessible, with both elevator and stairways. There’s even a free laundry in the basement! The host, David, is a charming fellow who went out of his way to make sure our stay was a pleasant one. The location is excellent, with easy access to 5 different subway lines as well as busses. Cabs and car services are also plentiful. There’s an excellent 24-hour grocery one block away, as well as a Starbucks and large chain drugstore. Lots of interesting restaurants are within easy walking distance. There’s a park at the end of the block where you can ride the bicycle the host has thoughtfully provided (helmet and lock included!) With WiFi, a printer, TV and desk, it was easy to stay connected. While we stayed for an extended period, I can also imagine this would make a great base for a weekend in NYC. Quiet a deal for the price!
I had a wonderful time at David’s place. David was very attentive to my needs and very quick to respond to any questions. In fact if he hadn’t heard from me for a while he would message me to be sure everything was okay. The apartment was very nice: it was clean with all the amenities you would need for an extended stay, including a laundry in the building. I was very comfortable at David’s place, so I wound up extending my stay by another couple of months. Also, there is just about anything you would need within a few of blocks of the apartment, such as a gym, a Duane Reade, a Starbucks, a supermarket, a nice park and several train lines that allow you to reach midtown in about 10-15 minutes. David’s place is highly recommended.
The apartment was just like David described it, very near to the subway and all the necessary stores to live comfortably. The apartment stays in a very safe neighborhood, with everybody being very nice to us. David was an amazing host, explaining us everything and answering all the questions we had during our stay. He made us feel welcome. If you’re going to stay in New York, stay in David’s place =)
L’appartamento è delizioso e il nostro host è stato davvero disponibile. Splendida esperienza
